A family cottage in the Simondium valley

This website is the online home of Kimi's Cottage, a small family run guesthouse on the R45 in Simondium, in the heart of the Cape Winelands. We built it so that guests can see the cottage and The Valley Room before they book, check which dates are still open, read what past guests have said, and speak to us directly instead of going through a booking site.

The site is for anyone looking for a quiet country base between Franschhoek, Paarl and Stellenbosch. Couples escaping for a weekend, families and groups of friends who want a self catering cottage with a private braai, wedding guests attending a nearby venue, and travellers who would rather wake up to vineyards and mountains than to a city street. We also keep a local guide to wine routes, restaurants and things to do with children, because our guests ask us for it every week.

Kimi's Cottage is owned and hosted by Kimi and Basson, who live on the property and look after it themselves. Every photo on this site was taken here, the recommendations are places we actually go, and when you send an enquiry you are writing to us, not to a call centre.
