Right of Admission and Indemnity
We want every guest to have a safe, happy stay. Please read the following before you arrive.
1. Right of admission
Right of admission is reserved. Kimi's Cottage and The Valley Room are private properties, and the owners may refuse entry or ask any guest or visitor to leave if they behave in a way that is unsafe, disruptive or disrespectful to the property, the hosts or the neighbours.
2. Indemnity
Guests and their visitors enter and stay on the property entirely at their own risk. The owners, their family and staff are not responsible for any injury, illness, loss, theft or damage to guests, visitors, vehicles or belongings, however it is caused, except where the law does not allow this to be excluded.
By booking and staying with us, you accept this indemnity on behalf of yourself and everyone in your group.
3. Children
Children are very welcome, but they must be supervised by an adult at all times, including in the garden, near the braai and near the fireplace.
4. Your belongings and vehicles
Please keep your valuables locked away and your vehicle locked. Belongings and vehicles are left at your own risk.
5. Damage and breakages
Please treat the cottage as you would your own home. Guests are responsible for any damage, breakages or missing items caused during their stay, and the cost of repair or replacement will be charged.
6. Number of guests
Only the number of guests confirmed in your booking may stay overnight. Kimi's Cottage sleeps up to 6 and The Valley Room sleeps up to 2. Please ask Kimi before inviting day visitors.
7. Fire and braai safety
Use the indoor fireplace and the braai with care, and never leave a fire unattended. Make sure fires are fully out before going to bed or leaving the cottage.
8. Smoking
Smoking is not allowed indoors. Please use the outdoor areas and dispose of cigarette ends safely.
9. Pets
We have our own friendly dog on the property. Guests' pets are not allowed unless agreed with Kimi beforehand.
10. Noise and neighbours
We are in a peaceful farming area. Please keep noise down, especially after 10pm. Parties and events are not allowed without the owners' permission.
11. Check in and check out
Check in is from 12pm and check out is by 10am. Special arrangements can be made with Kimi on WhatsApp.
12. Water and electricity
Please help us save water and electricity. Switch off the aircon, heaters and lights when you go out.
13. Bookings and cancellations
Bookings made through Airbnb, Booking.com or LekkeSlaap follow that platform's payment and cancellation policy. For direct bookings, Kimi will confirm the payment and cancellation terms in writing when you book.
